Use AVG TuneUp for windows to detect unnecessary items and performance issues on your PC. It also optimizes disk space and improves the speed of your system.
In this article you will know about how to install the application and either start using the product in free-trial mode, activate an existing subscription, or purchase AVG TuneUp.
Install AVG TuneUp
1. Download AVG TuneUp setup file from the button below.
2. Doble click on the downloaded setup file avg_tuneup_online_setup.exe or right-click on it and select Run as administrator from the context menu.
3. If prompted for permission by the User Account Control dialog, click Yes.
4. Click the current language in the top-right corner of the screen to change default setup language. Then, click Install Now to proceed with installation.
5. Wait for the installation of the setup AVG TuneUp on your PC.
6. Choose one of the options below:
- Free trial: If you have not yet purchased an AVG TuneUp subscription, you can continue to use the product in free-trial mode for a limited time period. Click Scan Now to run a comprehensive Maintenance scan and immediately check your PC for system junk, broken shortcuts, and other issues.
- Activate: If you purchased AVG TuneUp before installation, activate your paid subscription. For detailed activation instructions, refer to the following. ( Activating AVG TuneUp)
AVG TuneUp is now installed on your PC.
If you purchased AVG TuneUp (Multi-Device), you can use AVG TuneUp on your Windows PC and on your Mac.
Activating AVG TuneUp

Activation code
To activate AVG TuneUp using an activation code:
1. Open AVG TuneUp and go to My AVG ▸ My Subscription.
2. Select Enter a valid activation code.
3. Type or paste your activation code (including hyphens), then click Enter.
4. If you have more than one valid subscription, select the subscription you want to use. Click Continue to return to the My subscription screen.
Your AVG TuneUp subscription is now active.
AVG Account
To activate AVG TuneUp using your AVG Account:
1. Open AVG TuneUp and go to My AVG ▸ My Subscription.
2. Select Sign in to your AVG Account.
3. Enter your AVG Account email address, then click Sign In. If you don't have an AVG account, select the Create Account tab to create a new AVG Account.
4. If you have more than one valid subscription, select the subscription you want to use. Click Continue to return to the My subscription screen.
Your AVG TuneUp subscription is now active.
